Hello everyone! Does anyone know of any good places or websites too look for reliable cheap used cars in Dallas Texas or close surrounding areas. I really need help!! im in My second semester of College and I REALLY need transportation more then anything. thanks for your help in advance!
A: Well, define “cheap”.
If you go to craigslist.com, you can search all of the local listings in there and narrow it down by price. If you decide to try an auction, make sure you have someone with you that knows what they’re doing. You can either find a gem there, or get seriously taken.
Good luck. Usually, “cheap” and “reliable” do not go hand-in-hand. One HUGE piece of advice is to make sure any vehicle you consider is checked out by a licensed mechanic. It might cost you $100 or so, but it is worth every penny. Never take anything a seller says at face value. “Good condition” to them might mean something totally different to someone else.

Q: I bought a used car in Texas and moving to Florida. How to get insurance, registration etc?

I reside in Dallas, TX and bought a used 2004 Corolla LE. The seller brought it from Colorado. So essentially it dosent have a TX license plate, registration and inspection. I am moving to Florida in 2 weeks. So I dont want to waste money by registering now in Texas and then again register in Florida. So how can I manage the situation? The seller is saying that once I take insurance, I can go to the local Tax office and get a temporary registartion and use that for 2 weeks. Then once I reach FL, I can do the FL registration.
Does anyone have a clear idea of what I am supposed do? What I am planning right now is to take insurance and go to the registrarion office and ask them.
