Q: Car for sale, Dallas/Ft Worth TEXAS?
I need to sell my car, do you know a good website where I can post it to sell?
I have already posted it on craiglist and backpage.
Do you know any other site good to sell?
I live in Arlington TX.
Thanks in advance
Thank in advance
A: thegreensheet.com but you would have to pay for the ad. Could also have it inserted into every edition that they offer in the DFW area. Pretty small fee. They say “Greensheet brings you buyers”. Try it and see.
Q: any used cars for sale?
I just got a job at a convenience story working part-time at minimum wage so I don’t have any money right now and I won’t have enough for several months. I’m wondering if anyone has a car for sale or knows of a good car store in the garland/dallas area in texas. I’m only interested in hearing about cars that I would be able to afford. Preferably no more than $1,000.
A: here you are

Q: Does anyone know of a car dealership that has Mitsubishi 3000 Gt or a place where they sale used ones?
I want a Mitsubishi 3000 Gt and im trying to find if theres a dealership where they might have some for sale but the dealership has to be somewhere in Texas because im from Dallas, Texas.
A: Here is the bulk of my previous post: hope these websites can help… Cheers, C.
Location of your 3000GT depends on how much you are willing to suffer for your art. There are 40 listings for Mitsubishi 3000GT’s across the country on Ebay Motors. Some will be close to your area. Limiting your search to vehicles of this sort that are close to home may end up costing you more money in the long run. On specific older used cars, its good to expand your search and bring down the best one available.
At any rate, Ebay Motors will give you a good basis to compare models and prices of your car. See link below:

Did you say Nissan 3000GT? Not aware of this particular model. Perhaps the Mitsubishi 3000GT. If not, then perhaps a Nissan 300Z?
At any rate, Ebay Motors will give you a good basis to compare models and prices… perhaps work out the exact nature of your dream car. See link below:

Q: I’m moving from New York to Dallas area of Texas need some advice?
Some questions:
How long before I have to change my driver’s license, car registration, inspection sitcker?
What’s the best way to find a job in the Dallas area? I’ve been on Careerbuilder and haven’t been very successful (probably because my address is still isted as NY). I’m trying to find a computer market development/marketing/sales job near Frisco, Plano, Dallas area.
When I file my tax return next year for 2009, will I get back more of my state tax because I’m no longer paying state income tax in Texas, or does NY state just take what I paid while I was here and doesn’t give me a refund?
What are the good banks in the Dallas area? Is there one I can switch to that doesn’t charge a monthly fee (like Ihave now on my local bank) and doesn’t require a minimum balance?
A: You have 30 days to get a Texas license and transfer the license on your car.
I don’t know about your job openings here, but you have to get your resume out and talk to people.
You need to talk to N.Y. about your state tax return, we do not have a state income tax in Texas.
There are several good banks that do not charge a fee you can find one convenient to your home or job.
Q: I bought a junker that runs, has California salvage title, want to drive it in Texas, now what?
I bought a old car from a guy here in Dallas. The car came with a california salvage title. I want to drive this car here in texas, but dont know what all im going to need to do to get it registered. I only paid 400 for the car but i dont want to spend another 400 to get it registered. I read something about getting a rebuilt salavage title, but i know the car has been rebuilt by the previous owner, and I have no reciepts or anything to show whats been done. I just have a running car and a cali salvage title and a bill of sale. So what now?
Thanks!!
Vicki thanks for your response. I have to do a little work on the car to make it pass, i.e. new windshield and catalitic converter, but after that it should pass. I did a vin search and found out it was salvaged in 1992 because of ‘collision;. The car looks straight and the frame looks straight. Dont know how that will effect the process, any thoughts?
A: Registration is usually a percentage of the value of the car. If it’s only $400, then it won’t be much. I don’t think you need receipts on what’s been done. The title has been branded “salvage”
It’s an out of state vehicle, meaning they want to physically look at the car before issuing a Texas title and plates. They may inspect the brake and lights. Does everything work on the car? will it pass emission test? (Texas isn’t as strict as CA on emission standards)
Q: False claim: Breach of contract on automobile sale. They reposessed car in middle of night from garage.?
My parents bought a new SUV in the Dallas, Tx area about a month ago. Last week it was stolen out of the garage in the middle of the night. The police were called and it was reported as a stolen vehicle. A couple of days ago my mother called to make her first payment (not due for another 2 weeks) and found that the finance company that the dealership used had no record of her. They said that the dealership may have just been slow in sending the paperwork off to call them and see if the paperwork was in the mail. When she called the employee that took her call said that he was under orders from his boss to not talk to her and that her vehicle was not stolen that it had been repossesed for breach of contract. He would give no further info. She asked to speak to the woman who filed her financing at the dealership, and was told she no longer worked there. Mom called the police and they talked to the dealership and found out that they claimed that she was in breach of contract because she used her name and credit to purchase a vehicle for someone else. The vehicle has only been used by my parents, and fully licensed and insured in their names. The accusation is unbelievable!!! The police also told her that even if they had grounds to repo, they were still tresspassing by going in the garage. She does not have the money to hire a lawyer and does not know what actions to take. Oh, and to make matters worse, her old car that had been parked next to the new has a dent in it with the same color paint as the new one (guessing in their quick thieving in the middle of the night they damaged it). The name of the dealership is Southwest Hyudai in Dallas, Tx. Does anyone have any advice?? Know any pro bono’s in Texas (they live near Dallas in Mansfield)?? Ever heard anyone having something like this happen before? Complaints against this dealership??? Thanks for any help!
A: You need to go to your local DMV office with all supporting documents. Contracts, sales orders, etc. You need photos of the damaged car as well
File a formal complaint with the DMV. There will be a few forms to fill out, but it is worht the time. The DMV will inspect this for you, and enforce any rules that have been violated.
As a dealer, I can tell you with 100% certainty that dealers are FAR more afraid of, and responsive to, a DMV complaint than a lawsuit. DMV has the ability to levy fines, restrict your license, audit every single deal, and even shut a dealer down if there are violations.
There is no charge to file a complaint. But I stress you MUST go in person to the DMV. Also, make sure you go to the main office. Most satellite offices do not have a professional licensing division officer on staff. So go to the main DMV office
Good luck
BTW Earl – its not slander if someone is presenting facts known first-hand. Slander has to be a malicious, false rumor.
Q: general questions about remodeling
well my immediate family is moving into a new home soon and i will be in charge of the renovations and remodeling. id like to leave the back yard open for patio space and the pool the we will be installing. but on top of the first or second story id like to add an open sun room of sorts. my question is; has anyone had any experience with adding another level to their homes? we will be intentionally buying low and getting out more for the remodeling. we will have between 20 and 100 thousand for the projects(depending on certain factors of course). ive found a nice home that would leave around 75k for the projects.to give a little info on my projects- i see a semi sun room the i will use for my weights and workout equipment. there will be no inner walls and the outer walls would be only a few feet high with the rest of the wall space being filled with glass and windows. i tell you this in hopes that maybe you could relate similar projects to mine and give some sort of cost that i might expect. there is no room either in reality or in my mind to spread the house outward into the yard since yard space is almost more precious then a homes sq footage. also, for any other projects, what sort of questions and research should i do before going into a deal? and to finish off this topic, is there any way i could make up a legitimate contract for the contractors stipulating certain terms and agreements? id like to be in complete control of this situation seeing as how this is our house and not some guy washing my car.
just a few little facts about my situation to help you help me; i live in texas in the dallas area and in our price range and certain select housing features, i found near 400 homes for sale. if i would have set the threshold to a bare minimum, the number goes up to nearly 650. and our maximum price would still be about 80k lower then the average. that home count isnt taking into account the foreclosed homes or new builds. when i look for houses up to a million with almost any square footage and other aspects, that number jumps to a staggering 1300. thats also not counting multi family or any attached home of sorts. also, a (simple) majority of homes have been on the market for more then 3 months, with new listings pushing other homes into the previously mentioned category daily. is there anyway i could use this housing economy to my advantage in regards to the remodeling projects? also, we have some of the lowest costs of living in the nation and home prices are extremely appropriate(low) when compared to other states. so if all this helps you give me me any advice, great. if not im sorry i wasted your time. thank you for any help and have a great week folks.
A: My eyes hurt from that!!
It will be money better spent on finding a house that is in;
1) A better location (makes a big difference at resale time)
2) Is already the size and stories you need.
3) Has a solid foundation, with no settling, or drainage, mold issues.
Spending more money up-front for a better house now, will save you from improvement and remodelling headaches later.
I just don’t see the logic in buying a bottom of the barrell house, and then having to completely renovate. 75 to 100K is alot of money.
